Prostate Cancer Support Group
The Prostate Cancer Support Group was formed in 2001 by representatives of the leading men’s groups in the island and its aims are to:
- Raise awareness of the condition.
- Support men with prostate cancer and their families.
- Provide a forum where people can comfortably exchange views on matters of common concern, however, nobody needs to speak unless they wish to.
The Support Group meetings are held at The Willows Day Centre, Green Street, St.Helier, from 5.30pm until 7pm, on the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings are open to men diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and their families. A Guest Speaker is usually invited to talk on relevant topics, on alternate months.

The social networking website www.whatnow.org.uk is attracting new members every day and provides all those affected by cancer with an opportunity to share their stories, discuss issues, swap information and tips, and link up online with others in a similar situation. You can create your own profile page with pictures, videos, a personalised blog and more. You could find people with similar experiences to your own, discuss how you are coping with the different aspects of living with cancer, and keep up with how your new online friends are getting on.
